Description Punish or absolve all 27 shades of The Inferno

Trophy {{{1}}}

The Damned is an achievement/trophy in Dante's Inferno.

This achievement/trophy is obtained by punishing or absolving all 27 Condemned Souls located throughout the nine circles of Hell. It is worth 30 points and a silver trophy on the PlayStation 3, and 50 points on the Xbox 360.

It does not matter whether they are punished or absolved, so long as they are dealt with. This trophy will be unlocked once the player absolves or punishes Count Ugolino in Treachery, the last of the Damned before Dante faces Lucifer.

Important to note, that though this achievement is unlocked regardless of whether Dante punishes or absolves the Damned, there are two Achievements that can only be unlocked by absolving specific souls. These include the following:

  1. Francesca and Paolo: the player will earn both The Damned achievement and the "Forbidden Love" Achievement if they absolve these two shades. Punishing either of these shades will lock out the Forbidden Love Achievement, though The Damned Achievement will still be earned.
  2. Brunetto Latini: absolving this shade will earn the "Old Friend" Achievement in addition to The Damned achievement. Punishing Latini will consequently lock out the "Old Friend" Achievement, though like the "Forbidden Love" achievement, The Damned trophy can still be earned regardless of the choice to punish or absolve.
