Ach-Slaughter at Acre
Slaughter at Acre
Description Fight against the prisoner at Acre.
Points 5 Game points
Trophy {{{1}}}

Slaughter at Acre is an achievement/trophy in Dante's Inferno.

Overview[]

In order to get this achievement/trophy, the player must kill the first prisoner that appears in the Acre prison. This achievement/trophy is worth 15 points and a bronze trophy on the PlayStation 3, and 5 points on the Xbox 360. This trophy can also be obtained by attacking the innocent in a "Don't Kill the Prisoner" wave, through the Trials of St. Lucia DLC.

Trivia[]

  • This achievement is a reference to the historic event during the Third Crusade known as the Massacre of Ayyadieh. During this brutal event, when the sultan Saladin did not pay the ransom demanded for hostages taken prisoner when the Crusaders conquered Acre, King Richard I of England ordered the execution of some 2,600 to 3,000 hostages, including women and children. This massacre is retained in the game, but responsibility of the killings is placed on Dante, who became infuriated with caring for the prisoners during the negotiations between Richard and Saladin (Richard himself was unaware of what Dante had done until his return to Acre).
  • This is the first achievement a player can gain in the game, and is unique in that there is a second way to obtain it (via the DLC gameplay).
