Damned Crusader was a creature in Dante's Inferno, first encountered in the circle of Violence.
Overview[]
These enemies are the remains of the soldiers who fought for their "holy" beliefs, led astray by Dante and the Bishop. They acted with violence against God and as punishment, they are condemned to wander in the Abominable Sands for eternity. The flesh was stripped from large portions of their body. Their shields and armor are fragmented and their blades long since became rusted. They are also often seen being accompanied by similar fiends known as Damned Captains. The leader of these fallen warriors was Dante's old friend, Francesco.
